Safety
For the utmost in occupational safety all processes must be co-ordinated, constantly monitored and documented. This task is assumed by the safety supervisor who is also available as the contact for those responsible for the plant.
Tasks
Control of measures to be taken, such as
  • fall protection
  • crane work
  • scaffolding and work on scaffolds
  • hot work
  • support of plant personnel in safety checks and inspections
  • execution of independent safety inspections after consultation with those responsible for the plant
  • written documentation of deployment times, proof of activity and special occurrences
Qualifications
  • Basic safety training
  • Medical preventative examinations
  • Training in respiratory protection in compliance with current guidelines
  • Experience as safety officer
  • Management experience in the fire department or other support services
  • Experience with shutdowns
  • Experience with emergency situation behavior response
  • First aid training
