Product features

Easy to install
With its corrosion resistant stainless steel bracket, the flame 1700 is very simple to install. The mounting bracket can be rotated ensuring optimal positioning relative to potential fire sources. Angular markings on the bracket enable recording of detector positioning for future reference.
Range of outputs
As standard the Flame 1700 includes 4 to 20 mA output, together with 3 built in relays. An optional RS 485 output enables multi-dropping of detectors.
Integral self-test
The flame 1700 has an in built automatic self test; this ensures any faults in the electronics and the optics of the device do not go undetected. For additional peace of mind, the test can be triggered manually at any time.
Electrically isolated 4-20 mA output as standard
Complete flexibility enables the device to be operated from a separate or field mounted power supply (as a 4-wire device) or as 3-wire device if isolated output is required.
Highly visible LED status indication
A highly visible three coloured LED is positioned at the front of the Flame 1700. This enables quick status indication in the field without the need to visit the control panel. Green indicates normal operation, yellow indicates fault, and red indicates the presence of flame.
Worldwide approval
With FM, CSA, IECEx and ATEX approval, the Flame 1700 is accepted world wide. This acceptance is enhanced with a range of metric and imperial threads.

Brochure: More than the sum of their components (PDF)

For over 70 years, Dräger has been one of the technology leaders in gas detection.

Brochure: Explosion protection and gas detection systems (PDF)

Explosion hazards mostly arise from flammable gases and vapours. Instead of avoiding their ignition by explosion protection measures it may be preferable to detect them before they become ignitable.
